Please start ticking off work as you upload to blogs. From Tuesday I will start checking and marking blog pages and meet with you in classes to RAG rate checklists. Please look out for any RED or AMBER highlighted pieces of work as they are either missing from your blog or not sufficient enough.

The final deadline for presenting all work to blogs is Monday 28th September 5pm. Instructions for Practical Task

Our world is filled with Order & Chaos. It is everywhere when you start looking…in the library, in shop windows, architecture, desks, busy streets, tangled cables, scattered objects, in crowds.

Instructions:

  1. Watch the video attached on ‘order & chaos in photography’ and answer the multiple choice questions on the quiz handout attached. Upload to your Induction Homepage as a PDF.
  2. Next, take at 3 photos of order around you and 3 photos of chaos around you. Then, take 1 photo of both order & chaos shown at the same time. Use your mobile phone or a digital camera. Try to do this outside of college. Be creative with your shots!
  3. Upload your photographs to your Induction Homepage.
  4. By each photograph write a short reflection on the following:
  • Describe what is in the photograph and the order or chaos within it
  • Explain what techniques/ visual elements/ rules of composition/ principles of design you used?
  • What mood is created in the photograph? How does it make you feel?

Hello year 2s, I hope you all had a good weekend. This week you will continue to focus on your Order/ Chaos artist research in your pairs & response pieces. On Tuesday you will continue to work independently in your pairs on your artist research presentation and on Friday you will be asked to focus on your personal practical 2D response piece in the 2D workshop.
